The Beast Run

The Beast Run is the British Endurance Annual Scooter Team with the plan to travel 750 miles and visit 7 British race tracks in just 2 days on 50cc scooters.

Knowsley Safari Park’s own rides maintenance manager, David Molyneux, is going to take part and try to complete this gruelling trek on his own customised beast.

The Knowsley lions certainly took an interest in the purple beast, probably wondering what such colourful food would taste like!

Why are they doing this? They are doing this to raise money for two very worthwhile charities The North West Air Ambulance who rely completely on the goodwill of the public to raise funds to operate this service every year, and The Chris Jones Riders Fund a charity dedicated to making motorcycle racing safer for all participants and provide medical equipment and services at racetracks.

Both charities are very worthwhile and you can help by donating to either charity on their Justgiving sites

About safariuk

I am the Visitor Service Manager for UK tourist attraction Knowsley Safari Park. I have been in the post only for a few years and consider myself very fortunate to work in such a fantastic place. Not many people outside of Africa can take their lunch break while looking at elephants! This isn't the official blog for Knowsley Safari Park but my own views and opinions on things that may be happening at the park, in the leisure industry or anywhere else.
