Although the park is now only open at weekends there is still an awful lot of work being done in the park during the week.
The animal division are busy getting their animals and animal shelters ready for winter and from the forecast it looks like it could be another very cold one so they need to be well prepared. We also had a bit of a late arrival and keeper’s arrived at work last week to the first frost and a new born Roan Antelope calf! Keeping staff were a bit worried it might be too cold for the baby and thought they may have to step in and help but it all turned out great and by the next day the female calf was up on her feet and getting stronger by the minute. ( I will try and get a few more details from the keepers on this story for another post)
In the walk around area we have seen the start of work for the grand marquee and JDParties Christmas Party Extravaganzas. Bon Soir Paris is the theme this year and Knowsley estate staff are digging out the tux and gowns for our own Christmas party in the marquee in December.
Office staff are also starting to get busy with orders for apotions, tickets and other experiences already starting to come in. VIP tours have been the early favourite for Christmas presents but I am sure the animal experiences and and our fantastic Keeper for a Day will catch up.
Don’t forget the park is still open for visits at weekends with the safari drive open at 10:30am until last entry into the safari drive at 3pm. The Karamoja restaurant is open for a delicious cooked breakfast too so make sure you get here nice and early.
